Korero mo te turanga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Maori Engagement Advisor Postgraduate to join the Awhina team (Maori student support services). This is permanent part-time position. The Awhina team supports work and life balance and therefore flexible working arrangements would be considered for the successful applicant.
O pumanawa - About you
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to bring their passion for supporting Maori Postgraduate students to have access to academic and pastoral support that will help them to maximise the benefits of their university experiences and to successfully complete their studies.
You will be comfortable working with Maori students from diverse backgrounds, providing support, facilitating sessions and operating in the digital space. Sound knowledge and understanding of te reo Maori, tikanga Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and experience working within the tertiary sector and MAI ki Poneke space is advantageous.
