Junior User Experience Researcher (12 months fixed term)
If you're looking for your “whyâ€, then come and join us at TEC. We truly believe in the transformational benefits of education and vocational training and as a result we invest $3 billion a year in tertiary education and training, and seek to broaden aspirations and lift the skill bases of all New Zealanders from ages 7 to 74.
We're on the hunt for a Junior User Experience Researcher to join our Products Services & Design team and help us shape the future of products that will make a positive difference in the lives of New Zealanders. This is a 12 month fixed term role to work on Tahatū - creating a new online career planning solution that will help people in Aotearoa New Zealand identify and clarify their aspirations and confidently make career plans for their life stage, constraints, and challenges.
Tahatū is being designed to meet the needs of all New Zealanders - and to do that, we need to make sure we understand needs, aspirations, motivations, and barriers for our key audiences. As a Junior User Experience Researcher, you'll have an important part to play - helping to research key groups and bring their voices and needs to the project team.
The Junior User Experience Researcher role will be working alongside a Senior User Experience Researcher - receiving on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring to help you learn the skills of UX research, and set you up for a career in this vibrant field. As it's a junior role, there is no need for prior experience - this role will suit someone who is looking for a career change, or to get back into the work force. If you are fascinated by people and understanding what underlies their behaviour, value equity and diversity, can communicate and create relationships with a wide variety of people, have good empathy for others, are naturally curious and want to know the ‘why' behind things, and are an energetic and positive person - this may be the job for you!
