This Vancouver based client is looking for a hard working team player to join their team as a Junior Accountant for a 16 month Maternity leave position. This client offers a hybrid work environment, working part time from home and part time in their downtown office. While this is a contract opportunity, the successful candidate will receive extended health/dental benefits, and will become a highly valuable member of the team.

Job duties in this role will include but not be limited to:

- Bank and balance sheet account reconciliations

- Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions

- Month end adjusting journal entries

- Maintaining fixed asset schedules

Requirements

The Junior Accountant will have formal post-secondary education in Accounting (Diploma or Degree), paired with a minimal 1 year of working experience in an Accounting related position. You will have an excellent team focused attitude, be a keen learner, and a drive to make an impact into Finance operations. Candidates must have Intermediate Excel skills, and experience in using Great Plains software is a definite asset. Please apply today
