The Division

 

The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrate transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. 

 

NSW is becoming more mobile and inter-connected than ever. The Planning and Programs division lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of current and future investments across the network, through evidence based decision making, supporting the changes required to translate Future Transport 2056 strategic objectives into customer and community outcomes across Greater Sydney

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for an ITS Asset Engineer to join our Greater Sydney Road Asset Western Parkland team within the Planning and Programs branch. The role is responsible for the asset management of the Region and Division state Intelligent Traffic Systems infrastructure and the 10-year Intelligent Traffic Systems forward works program and the performance evaluation of these assets and programs.

 

The ITS Asset Engineer has the following day to day responsibilities:

 

Ensure risks to associated with Intelligent Traffic Systems infrastructure are identified and appropriately managed in accordance with TfNSW risk management and engineering standards

Identify and define the activities (including routine maintenance and tactical projects), resources and timescales required for Intelligent Traffic Systems assets required to achieve TfNSW's objectives

Monitor and evaluate the performance of delivery partners, the region's intelligent traffic systems asset management system, the delivery of the current intelligent traffic systems program and the intelligent traffic systems assets.

Ensure that the region's Intelligent Traffic Systems assets and delivery partners comply with appropriate standards including configuration and asset information management requirements and implement appropriate actions to address any variances

 

About you

 

You are an articulate and self-motivated ITS Asset Engineer, looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your experience working in electrical engineering.

 

You must hold a four-year electrical engineering qualification and have a high-level of communication skill including the ability to complete business cases, make presentations and use business applications.

 

The successful applicant would have some exposure to traffic or railway signalling systems and be capable to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is Engineer Level 3 ($130,623 -$142,750) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
