2nd Line IT Support Technician Site based at a Leading Food Manufacturer Monday – Friday (Days ONLY) Are you a talented and enthusiastic IT Support Technician with a proven track record in 1st line and 2nd line support? We are actively recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join the established team at this hugely successful food manufacturing business at their location near Stockport. Reporting to the IT Manager and joining a small, but growing, team of 7 IT professionals - the IT Support Technician will be involved in triaging support calls and providing technical support across network, server and hardware alike, to internal customers via phone, email, face to face and using remote control applications. 

The Role: Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks Troubleshooting system and network problems Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues Keeping Users updated as to the status of their problems/requests Adhering to all applicable policies and procedures This is a Monday – Friday DAYS ONLY role. This is a full time, permanent role. About you ü Good PC and printer hardware skills. You will be comfortable diagnosing and, where possible, repairing PC and printer hardware problems. You will also be expected to troubleshoot various operational problems, install new drivers etc. ü Strong Windows skills, preferably covering various versions of Windows. This would include installation of new and updated application software related to Windows. ü Strong Microsoft Office skills – across a range of Microsoft Office Products including O365. ü TCP/IP networking skills ü The confidence and ability to research solutions to problems. 

ü Good inter-personal skills, good telephone manner and good communication skills. ü Microsoft MCP qualifications are desirable but not essential.
