George at Asda is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect due to a recent promotion in the team.  This role would ideally suit a mid-level Solutions Architect to join a mature practice, working with a large team of Architects in a supportive environment, with great opportunities for self-development.  Experience in Retail, or at least operating in an enterprise-scale environment is desirable. 

Your role:

The role of the Solution Architect is to create a design that adheres to the Technology principles and roadmaps whilst also meeting Business Requirements. The SA will be the key liaison between the Business and the Technical Development teams to ensure the Project adds the required Business value.

You will work with many different stakeholders including:

• Business Analysts
• Security
• Environment Management
• Project Managers
• Developers

About You:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in solution design in retail, for enterprise-scale businesses across a broad range of current solutions and vendors.
• You'll have successfully designed end-to-end solutions in industry-leading technologies, delivering successful solutions truly aligned to business needs.
• Awareness of best practices in Applications architecture, and the ability to own the solution design, coaching other team members to drive success.
• Experience in supporting the architectural needs of agile teams is advantageous.
• You'll be great at communicating with a range of stakeholders, and speaking their language, whether they're in the business or technical teams.
• A strong natural focus on what matters; delivering value and designing to avoid risk.
• Enthusiastic, prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, both with project work and team and community activities

Technical Experience:

• You'll have practical awareness of architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) and be familiar with creating models that communicate baseline and target states. We use ArchiMate, so it would help to understand this notation.
• Experience of working with SAP is advantageous
