Requirements:
· 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years management experience in a health care Information Services (IS) environment, managing and/or directing an IS operation.
· Proven experience in IS infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development
· Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day- to-day management.
· Knowledge of business theory & processes, management, budgeting, and office operations.
· Solid technology background in information management with demonstrable technical skills and knowledge.
· Sound understanding of the current use of technology in a health environment and the potential uses in the future.
· Proven leadership abilities with experience leading and implementing major change initiatives.
· Knowledge of security policies, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the development and delivery of technology services.
· Develop new and innovative IT service models to ensure service effectiveness and efficiencies.
· Develop and negotiate budgets, funding, and capital across the two organizations, centered on improving clinician and patient experience and aligned with the long term business plan.
· Develop and maintain external communication linkages for the exchange and application of information, learning, and identification of best practices.
· Engage leaders in the change management process and enable best practices and customer centric infrastructure services.
· Provide Senior Leadership with monthly reports on program progress, key initiatives, and accountabilities.
· Provide leadership, support and direction to the team on issues related to performance management, corporate direction, service delivery, staff development, human resources management, staff realignment, and change management strategies.
· Teach, coach and lead the team in the development and monitoring of quality indicators and improvement initiatives.
· Engage in and foster detail oriented development of all team members and provide opportunities for learning within budgeted resources.
