About this role

Within this role, you will be: 

Effectively co-ordinating the strategic multi million pound GDPR Landscping compliance and assurance programmes and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising.

Responsible for the overall planning, integrity and coherence of the programmes.

Responsible for the day to day programme activities and delivery of spoint outcomes.

Developing and maintaining the programme environment to support each individual project.

Managing communication and reporting.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Establishing overall performance standards for projects, project managers and their teams. Assigning project leads, team members or other staff to various tasks or phases of work in the life cycle of multiple projects or products.

Supervise project leads and the training and work of production, design and also development staff.

Track performance of members of various project teams or groups to assess compliance with budgetary, time and other requirements.

Purchase or request or work with project leads to purchase or request needed supplies, equipment or services within budgets or limits set by upper-level management or the organization.

Review work product of teams for compliance with organisational objectives and goals. Report progress of work, goals, problems and other issues to supervisors, sponsors, senior management, Ex-Co, board of directors and committees responsible for oversight.

Review news, regulations and updates related to the organization’s products, services or programs.

Formulate and implement plans for recovery, alteration of work or otherwise handling emergencies, disruptions of programs, production or project schedules and unanticipated events.

Planning and designing the programmes and proactively assuring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action defining the programme's governance arrangements.

Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity for digital - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programmes, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards.

Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects & third party contributions to the programme.

Resolving any conflicts or roadblocks that may cause the projects to miss targets and or outcomes.

Organising and delivering regular updates and senior conversations with our stakeholders ands sponsors.Leading Digital and COO team on ISO9000 and other quality certifications and standards.

Developing culture for risk, compliance, assurance and quality with in digital and also help pan-BT for the cultural development.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Project management. Proven working experience in project management with Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Proficient in Project Management approaches preferably with Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus. Experience with project management & software tools.

Communication. the ability to clearly instruct project managers and their team members and relay updates and progress information to committees, directors and other management. Communication skills also include listening to professionals in sales, marketing and human resources to ensure production or the program is executed according to standards. Senior management or boards may offer feedback to program managers to ensure projects follow the goals of the organization.

Discernment. should understand details and technical aspects of specific projects. However, the program manager job description requires the professional to distinguish between those important details that affect the program and those that do not. These discernment skills allow the program manager to concentrate on addressing mainly those issues that might derail the organization’s programs and goals.

Strategic. Ensure the work and projects performed align with the program or goals of the organization. In fact, strategy skills include the ability to formulate plans to stay within budgets and timelines and handle unexpected events. A good awareness of Digital strategy, BT Entities, Products and aware of the broader perspective and how it affects the programme. 

Problem-Solving. The ability to respond to unforeseen events or problems. Program managers face issues such as staff or supply shortages, power outages, damage to equipment or security risks. These challenges may hinder, not just a project, but the set of projects that comprise the program. Problem-solving skills include consulting with professionals who may have expertise or authority. For example, advice from engineers may help address production problems.

Technical. Good  knowledge of IT Control frameworks and the critical dependencies between IT controls as a building block to financial reporting control and how they impact to BTs overall business controls & processes.
