The IT Business Relationship Manager is a primary point of contact between the key stakeholders within the business domain to which they are aligned and IT. They support their stakeholders for new demand and enhancements, and they are seen as a trusted advisor, providing support and advice in delivering technology solutions that meet the needs of the business and its strategy.

The BRM provides highly valued strategic consulting level support and guidance. They will drive domain planning and roadmap activities in the short, medium and long term. They do this in partnership with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and prioritise project and enhancement requests based on robust business cases, ensuring justification is present for all demand in the pipeline.

To ensure that demand aligns to business and IT strategic objectives, they work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security so that consideration is made to ensure that our solutions – where relevant, are architected from an enterprise-first position.

About You

Your knowledge and experience is of vital importance as we continue on this journey, helping us to drive excellence across the broader Supply Chain to maintain the outstanding customer service that we are renowned for. You will be an expert with in-depth end-to-end business process and technology knowledge within Supply Chain – from Buying and Merchandising through to Logistics and Fulfilment. You will know how important single view of product is, and bring with you best practice and ideas to deliver it. You will have experience of SAP ERP and Warehouse Management.

You will need to have proven excellence in stakeholder management and relationship building, as well as well-developed analytical skills with the ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills will be a key requirement. You will also have the ability to see beyond the parameters of a single project to identify patterns, risks, trends and strategic context more broadly within the organisation.
