Role Overview
- The successful candidate(s) will join the Natural Resources and Clean Energy Transition Group (NRCET) in London and focus on strategic advice to Chemicals companies across EMEA. The Chemicals coverage space spans clients in such diverse sub-verticals as petrochemicals, fertilizers, paints & coatings, specialty chemicals, air gases, flavours & fragrances and the Analyst is expected to gain access across these
- The Analyst role is central in supporting the team across the entire lifecycle of M&A, ECM and DCM transactions from origination to closing
- Day-to-day work includes a broad range of responsibilities from financial modelling and valuation, process management, drafting of marketing and transaction related documentation
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside senior Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory (BCMA) officers and participate in particular client transactions, projects or assignments as a junior member of the Investment Banking team
- Prepare live-deal and origination related presentations and marketing materials
- Support the team in overall transaction process management
- Organise and analyse sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
- Conduct economic / financial research; over time develop an understanding of the varied value chains in the Chemicals sector
- Evaluate companies’ financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends
- Build complex financial models for valuation and credit modelling purposes
- Prepare valuation materials and present outputs of the analysis for live deals and deal origination
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
