About Us
The Internal Communications Specialist role supports the Woolworths Food Group which consists of WoolworthsSupermarkets, Metro and The Woolworths Food Company businesses as well as supporting Corporate and Support team Communications. With over 180,000 team members across Australia, the Internal Communications team plays a key role in ensuring clear, concise and purposeful messages are delivered to the right people, at the right time, through the right channels.

Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Executing the internal communication strategy and acting as a point of contact for our national and state leadership teams within the Woolworths Food Group
• Supporting our store teams by ensuring all communications received from the business are clear, concis eand purposeful
• Keeping our team members informed through various mediums including online, print, video and internal social media
• Developing cohesive communications plans and working with the business teams for key events, change initiatives, product launches and other projects
• Building creative written, visual and interactive communication solutions that engage our team members and showcase our purpose

About You
We’re looking for someone with exceptional communication skills who has demonstrated experience producing clear, concise and purposeful communications. You are known for having a strong, positive personal brand and are customer-centric in your approach and have the ability to tell stories that keep our teams informed and engaged. In addition you:

• Are an experienced internal communications specialist, ideally with retail exposure
• Can leverage multiple platforms and tools to communicate important messages, developing and executing robust, fit-for purpose communication plans
• Enjoy working in a fast pace environment where change is inevitable
• Build great working relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
• Ideally have relevant qualification in communications, public relations or similar but it’s not necessary if you have the applicable experience
• Have experience with graphic design, video production, social media, event planning and change management
