We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Internal Communications team as an Internal Communications Executive based between our Support Centre in Worksop (on average 8 visits a month, however this can increase when events are taking place) and working remotely.

As our Internal Communications Executive you’ll be essential in helping to ensure we’re the best we can be through the creation, publication and delivery of high quality, timely and relevant communications which keeps our team members, shareholders and the media connected to our business strategy, progress, values and culture. 

Taking huge pride in what you do, you’ll be writing, publishing and maintaining content, at pace, across all our centrally managed channels so that our team members and shareholders have easy access to accurate, timely and on brand news and information about wilko. Along with:

• Managing the annual plan for content, liaising with key contacts across the business to ensure the content is up to date and relevant.
• Planning, researching, and creating compelling content being obsessive and curious so that our amazing products and people are always front and centre of everything we do.
• Keeping the department on track with all budgeting requirements and ensuring data and GDPR legislation is adhered to.
• Managing the delivery of retail focused messages, ensuring key messages are cascaded to 17,000 team members through the appropriate methodologies to improve team member engagement and have a positive impact on the customer facing campaign delivery.
• Supporting with event and conference organising, planning, and liaising with suppliers. Managing all other smaller, bespoke events such as virtual get togethers, balcony briefings and one-off retail meetings to deliver new initiatives to Regional Managers to improve the cascade of important business change.

For this role we need someone who is used to working in a busy communications team, with a love of writing, messaging, and a knack for creating and tailoring content for different stakeholders, audiences, and channels with a special focus on internal communications. Your knowledge of different digital platforms will be second to none and you'll have a flair for creating exciting content. You’ll have excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to build networks quickly, whilst demonstrating discretion as you will often be party to confidential information.
