Internal Communications Consultant
Join EDF as an Internal Communications Consultant and you’ll deliver internal communications for the Hinkley Point C project, following a strategy across a range of channels, ensuring effective links and alignment across the project,EDF, contractor partners and suppliers. Your role is critical that inspires, informs, engages and enthuses all those working on the project so that they work as one team, with shared values and goals, so that the project is completed safely, on time and budget and with high quality.
You’ll represent the HPC Communications team on Project Teams and Company-wide forums, keeping Senior Management informed of plans on a regular basis. As part of a small internal communications team delivering a wide range of activities – and part of a wider HPC communications team, you must be able to work flexibly, meeting changing and challenging demands. You’ll interact on a daily basis with management and will independently use your initiative whilst building relationships across a complex business with multiple stakeholders.

The Opportunity....
As an Internal Communications Consultant you’ll be responsible for a range of internal initiatives on site and beyond and design, implement, populate and maintain the mix of employee feedback and two-way communication channels that enable the achievement of the overall communications strategy. You’ll act as an advisor, staying abreast of what’s happening in order to identify and put in place the appropriate communication strategies and plans that enable the successful embedding and communication of change.
You’ll develop and implement the communications strategy and plans for key change projects and other business initiatives, ensuring that changes are communicated effectively to colleagues and to maintain employee confidence in business and decisions. The Internal Communications Consultant will be accountable for the preparation and sign off of verbal, written and digital communications that inform, enthuse, engage and align those that work on the project with the vision and changes.
What we're looking for...

Acting as an advisor, you’ll stay abreast of what’s happening in order to identify and put in place the appropriate communication strategies and plans that enable the successful embedding and communication of change.
Using your excellent knowledge and skills, you will understand and segment different stakeholders and match to appropriate channels of communication. Using your strong persuasion skills, you’ll influence and obtain buy-in to communication plan proposals that meet business objectives and ensure effective communications to all staff.
