A great opportunity has come up for an Internal Audit position within a growing financial services organisation based in Wellington. This role supports the business within the Risk & Regulatory function by operating and enhancing the operational and compliance processes throughout the business. This role will test your ability to work in the grey and be able to think strategically about processes to enhance the success of the organisation. This role would suit someone with strong analytical skills that enjoys influencing and engaging with key stakeholders throughout the business.

Responsibilities

• Managing, delivering and developing the compliance and assurance function
• Conducting financial and operational audits throughout the organisation
• Evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and processes and being able to make appropriate recommendations.
• Being able to influence change amongst key stakeholders throughout the business while adhering to policy guidelines

Requirements

• Ideally 3 years of experience in an internal or external audit environment
• In-depth knowledge and experience in providing audit and assurance services including: planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting of core business and operational activities
• Strong track record in building relationships and stakeholder communications
• Presentation and report writing skills
• Data analytics skills are desirable
