The Intermediate Accountant supports the Accounting Team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department.  Some of the job duties will include:

•  Preparing and processing journal entries.
• Completing general ledger operations.
• Assisting with month-end and monthly financial statements.
• Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts.
• Validating invoices for accuracy, GL coding and payment terms.
• Reviewing and processing expense reports.
• Preparing the statement notes report monthly.
• Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
• Assisting with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.

 Requirements
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
• Minimum 2 years related accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of ADP/ CDK accounting software considered an asset.
• Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the drive to meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
