Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for communications which engage our Risk employees, as well as helping position the role of the Risk function to the wider business
Collaborate with Aviva’s CRO and their Risk function, as well as the wider Employee Communications team, to ensure communications plans and strategies are built to support this business unit through their upcoming change initiatives
Work closely with the People Partner for Risk, and with senior stakeholders in the function, to shape the culture and align colleagues behind ‘a common vision’, as well as helping to increase employee engagement levels
Act as a strategic advisor on communications, with a hands-on approach to making things happen, influencing up to senior level
Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines and tone of voice
Use data, insight, and external best practice to create employee communication plans that brings in new ideas and thinking
Skills & Experience required
Experience working in an Internal Communications and/or Employee Engagement role previously – this can either be from a Brand, Marketing or HR background
Prior knowledge of working in Financial Services would be highly desirable
Prior exposure to managing a business unit successfully through a period of change / transformation
Positive relationship management and influencing skills, up to Exco level
Confidence to present up to Exco level and respond when challenged
Excellent written communication skills, matched with the ability to create successful, engaging IC material
Ability to see opportunity and drive change
Availability to start an interim role from May 2022, and commit to six-month contract
