About the role

The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining ground systems to support the world’s first mass-produced orbital launch vehicle. You will work on everything from power generation to launch vehicle communications. This is a unique opportunity to transfer your skills from the industrial world to a career in space.

  

Essential skills

  • Mechatronics/Electrical engineering degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ industry experience
  • Experience with commissioning, operation, and maintenance of fluids & mechanical systems
  • Experience leading complex engineering projects
  • Knowledge of instrumentation
  • Knowledge of low and high voltage AC & DC systems.
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition, control, and automation systems
  • Ability to read, understand, and produce electrical schematics
  • Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • OO PLC programming in Structured Text
