Wells is a leading instrumentation, electrical and automation service provider and contractor across New Zealand.  Wells provide superior industrial solutions to our blue-chip customers in multiple industry sectors including food & beverage, infrastructure, manufacturing, 3-waters, power generation, the health sector, dairy, oil and gas and petrochemical.

Due to growth in our business, we are seeking applications from Instrument Technicians to join the Wells Instrument & Electrical Ltd team based in the Waikato.

 

Our Waikato based operation provides Instrumentation and Electrical installation and maintenance services to some of New Zealand’s largest companies.

Deployment will be primarily site based at a variety of our customers in and around Waikato.  It will also provide support to other regional branches from time to time.

 

Job Requirements:

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience.
  • NZQA IMC Level 4 or equivalent, however experienced Instrument Technicians with EST registration should also apply.

Deployment will be primarily site based at a variety of our customers in and around Waikato.  It will also provide support to other regional branches from time to time.

You will have strong maintenance capability, including instrument calibration, with some installation / project experience, preferably in the Dairy, Food, Beverage and or 3 waters industry sectors.  Pharmaceutical and High Hygiene process plant experience would be an advantage.

Working well as part of a team, you will also be able to self-manage in the field and work sole charge. Good communication skills are essential, and you must be able to engage with customers at a site level.

Some automation experience is desirable or Electrical qualification.  Additional training and experience may be provided to the right candidate. Experience with pneumatic controls would also be an advantage.

Accurate record keeping is essential and overtime is an element of our operation.
