G4S Fire & Security Systems (UK) is part of G4S Secure Solutions (UK), the UK’s largest private provider of security solutions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Instillations Engineer in the Belfast area.

The position is permanent, full time, working 40hrs per week with occasional call out / standby responsibilities and typically working as part of a dedicated engineering team. 

Key responsibilities

• To undertake the installation  of electronic security systems – as scheduled by our Regional Installation Manager, Project Engineer or Customer Support Centre
• To ensure that Ad Hoc installation works are completed on time
• To carry out installation works in Northern Ireland, however there will be numerous occasions whereby works will be required in GB.
• To personally manage your personal vehicle and vehicle stock
• To be a member of the out of hours on-call rota and standby rota when required
• To comply with the Company Health & Safety requirements
• To liaise with Electrical Contractors and Customers at a local and site level
• To ensure Installations are completed to an acceptable high level in line with G4S standards and to the customers satisfaction
• To represent the Company in a professional manner
• To maintain the highest standards of quality at all times
• To minimize waste and the effect on the environment as per company policies
• To respond to all communications within an appropriate time
• To use Company property responsibly
• To represent Company’s best interests at all times

About you

• Experience in Electrical Installation or Security and Specialist Systems: Intruder Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV Systems
• Excellent understanding of current BS standards relating to  Security Systems
• Excellent Understanding of NSI Standards NCP 104 CCTV NCP 109 Access Control
• Excellent Understanding of PD6662:2017
• Experience with working on LAN Networks
• An ability to understand and commission IP devices on Security Systems
• Able to use command prompt to diagnose networking issues.
• Experience in Analogue and IP Based
• Planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Must be willing to travel
• Full clean driving license essential
• Able to obtain 5 year employment history and Security check Electrical Installation or Security and Specialist Systems
