Vodafone has embarked on a digital transformation journey across its Company and Finance function. Using the data we have effectively is an important driver for better business decisions and driving value within our Finance Operations and Controls function. The role of the Insights and Reporting team is to effectively deliver on our reporting and analytics capabilities and their utilisation.

 

Responsibilities for the role include gathering and prioritisation of reporting requirements for our function, deliver them through the best suited teams and platforms and promote usage of our reporting assets across our global footprint. This includes reporting strategies, assesses emerging solutions and facilitates analytics and insights on short term Finance Operations and Controls Leadership team requests. Beyond that the role is responsible to define, measure and report on the operational process performance reporting for the function and through that support the transition to a data driven organisation. Beyond that the role is responsible to overlook the FinOps process performance reporting and report to the Group Finance Operations Director once a month.

 

In enabling the above the team can utilise state of the art platforms on Google Cloud and SAP. The team will work closely with the colleagues with IT, Digital Intelligence and Group Data and Analytics to deliver new reporting assets through the most suitable reporting tools. For this our state-of-the-art platforms like SAP S4 and Google Cloud Platform should be utilised.

 

As the team and stakeholders will be located across various countries a suitable candidate needs to be confident in working in virtual teams without sharing a physical space. The Insights & Reporting Lead may be required to travel for up to two weeks a month to enable transformation of business support teams like FDS, FP&A to deliver the goals.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for creating the FinOps Reporting & Insights strategy.
  • Responsible for driving the Business to determine the scope and requirements across the relevant business areas
  • Responsible for leading a programme of activities to deliver against the strategy, ensuring effective management and running to timescales. 
  • Working closely with Global Process Leads, SAP IT Centre of Excellence and Group Data and Analytics to develop world class solutions 
  • To provide expert advice, challenging business demands and designs proposals where required

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant or Data Analyst with experience in designing and utilising finance reporting & insights
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting processes
  • SAP Reporting (Fiori, SAC, BI) and tool skills (desirable)
  • Experiences with cloud-based analytics solutions such as Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery (desirable)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Qlik (desirable)
  • Breadth of experience with finance functional and process reporting.
  • Ability to transfer abstract reporting requirements into user epics and requirements
  • Good communication skills to engage with management on various levels
  • Good understanding in Agile Working methodology
  • Ability to lead workshops and drive decision on Reporting for Business Transformation.
