Vodafone has embarked on a digital transformation journey across its Company and Finance function. Using the data we have effectively is an important driver for better business decisions and driving value within our Finance Operations and Controls function. The role of the Insights and Reporting team is to effectively deliver on our reporting and analytics capabilities and their utilisation.

The EVO Reporting & Analytics Expert needs to bring expertise on state-of-the-art analytics and reporting solutions and experience in transferring information requirements into data models and reports either himself or through our IT function. The role is key in delivering our overall Reporting Strategy of and future reporting innovations

The Expert will proactively work with the consumers of FinOps data to understand their requirements, reporting gaps and where data insights can lead to efficiency or effectiveness benefits. Through detailed knowledge of the reporting solutions available, the Expert will recommend solutions and support the analysis, design, development, documentation and overlook their delivery end to end.

Working as part of an agile squad, the Expert will develop new reporting solutions using innovative solutions, regularly liaising between business customers and IT partners. Delivering value through providing answers to key business questions. A good understanding of designing solutions to provide a superior customer experience is key to ensuring data insights are available that make a difference. The role is also expected to actively build prototypes that provide rapid data insight to urgent management queries or as basis for new reporting solutions on scaling platforms.

The role requires strong communication and stakeholder management ability, influencing key decision makers at multiple organisational levels to ensure our customers understand the benefits of the reporting tools and how to maximise their use. 

The Reporting & Analytics Expert may be required to travel on an occasional basis to enable transformation of business support teams like FDS, FP&A to deliver the goals.  

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for the delivery of parts of the Reporting & Analytics strategy
• Responsible for working with the Business to determine the scope and requirements across the relevant business areas
• Working closely with IT Centre of Excellence and Process Leads to develop world class solutions 
• To provide expert advice on challenging Business demands and designs from the Systems Integrator where required

Who are we looking for?

• Qualified Accountant or data scientist with experience in designing and utilising reporting & insights
• Good knowledge of Finance processes
• Experience with SAP would be highly valuable
• Good experience with finance functional and process reporting.
• Experience in data analytics and report design
• Ability to transfer abstract reporting requirements into user epics and requirements
• Experience in Alteryx (desirable)
• Experiences with cloud-based analytics solutions such as Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery (desirable)
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Qlik or Looker (desirable)
• SAP BW, SAP ECC Reporting and general tool skills (including leading BI tools knowledge) (desirable)
