About this role

This Job Matters as it empowers the Group IT teams with the right set of insights to help them in making decisions and tracking their deliveries for providing the experience to our BT colleagues just like we are providing to our customers.

You are accountable for delivery of reporting and analysis across a range of activities. Your output supports decision making for our key stakeholders through quality and actionable insights to deliver a holistic customer view.

You'll have the following responsibilities

You produce high-quality, actionable insights to deliver a holistic customer view.

You develop high quality reporting and analysis, leveraging self-serve wherever possible, and make sure that the data being used is accurate and timely.

You analyse data from multiple sources, including digital and offline sources where needed.

You act as the subject matter expert for specific business analysis, providing input into development of new products and making sure consistently high-quality analysis is delivered.

Supports testing the effectiveness and robustness of models and options for the different segments and businesses and offers specialist advice on a range of issues.

Gathers and analyses qualitative and quantitative information, using basic technical capabilities to ensure results and insights are reported with accuracy, in a timely manner and in conformance with standards.

Applies advanced data gathering and analysis techniques to support a range of projects, shaping and progressing various aspects of the strategic agenda or operational plans.

Assists in the development of clear and insightful material to communicate strategy or plans to a range of internal and external audiences.

Provides regular and ad-hoc reporting as required by the business and supports the development of short and long-term plans.

Develops and maintains internal working relationships, providing data and analysis to relevant teams and educating other functions on reporting outcomes.

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Measuring effectiveness - You help to set up measures to track operational performance. You support the reviewing, analysing and interpreting of data to provide insights for decision-making.

• Use data analytics - You use your knowledge of data and its presentation to help colleagues make decisions. You deliver initiatives that improve data analytics in our business.

• Business partnership and consulting - You win the trust of stakeholders by addressing their concerns to help them achieve their long term goals. You help customers explore and understand their wider business challenges and suggests solutions and improvements.

• Hypothesis testing and problem solving - You collect data and information to develop scenarios and support hypotheses testing and problem solving. You help to present basic findings.

• You offer expert advice and recommendations in your areas of subject expertise.

• You integrate complex data from multiple sources. You assess the quality of data and guide others to identify, follow up on and resolve issues. You take accountability for data being stored, protected and accessible for users.

• Prior background of databases is desirable

• MS Excel and some programming skills is a must

• Training on design thinking or equivalent is desirable
