We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Insight team as an Insight Analyst with a mixture of remote working and being in our Support Centre in Worksop.

As our Insight Analyst you’ll identify commercial opportunities and drive change using market analysis, price and promotions data, and basket analysis to distil killer insights which optimise business strategy and the activity plan.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve providing action-oriented insights that deliver commercial growth which validate and inform strategic direction.

Along with:

• Providing market context and identifying commercial opportunities using 3rd party data sources via bespoke internal dashboards and reports, additionally ensuring all dashboards & reports are maintained, updated and improved where necessary.
• You’ll produce robust and actionable competitor insight that supports evidence-based decision making across the business.
• You’ll conduct pricing and promotions analysis to provide the business and key decision makers with timely insight and intelligence.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and execute their strategic plans and tactical objectives.
• You’ll be responsible for managing third-party supplier relationships and benchmarking external tools to ensure wilko insight capability and knowledge is to the best standard possible.
• Supporting Wilko.com and Omni Channel activity.

For this role we need someone who has:

• A minimum of  1 year experience in an Insight or Analytics role or has a degree in economics.
• Experience working in a retail environment.
• Experience manipulating and combining large data sets from multiple disparate sources.
• Experience using modelling & programming tools such as Alteryx, SQL, and R is desirable.
• Experience using visualisation tools such as Power Bi and Tableau is desirable.
• The ability to distil and communicate complex analysis into simple and understandable insight.
