Job Description

Using your extensive technical and project management expertise, you will have primary responsibility for delivery of Infrastructure projects and will be an integral part of the Infrastructure Delivery Team. You will establish relationships with third party providers and various Primark ICT Teams, working alongside them to ensure that Primark’s Infrastructure roadmap and associated projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Project from initiation through to completion

Application and adherence to PMO processes, standards and policies (planning & reporting, dependency management, governance, risk & issue management, change control, and document management)

Provide leadership and guidance to cross matrix team members

Establish and maintain strong relationships with business and IT colleagues and suppliers, resolving conflicting priorities or issues as they arise

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including communications to team, stakeholders and executives, developing and agreeing the communication’s plan

Balance business needs with the technical constraints, drive creative solution discussions, and negotiate trade-offs as needed

Responsible for the effective management of risks and issues

Act as the main point of escalation for project team members

Required Skills & Experience

A proven change agent with significant project management experience

Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure

Experience managing multiple projects and project teams

Successfully led infrastructure and / or IT enterprise projects

Experience applying project methodologies, including agile and waterfall methodologies

Comfortable working with a variety of project management tools (Planview, Visio, MSProject)

Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interpret data

Strong judgment and decision-making skills

Commercial mindset and an understanding of how the project contributes to the overall business case

Strong leadership, collaboration and motivational skills

Strong internal and external influencing skills

Solid communication skills (written and verbal)

Active Professional Programme / Project Management accreditation (e.g. MSP, PRINCE, PMP)
