The Role

Joining a small but passionate and established IT Team, the Infrastructure Operations Engineer will be a key contributor to the support, maintenance and updating of our client’s vital IT infrastructure. With a hybrid configuration of on-prem and virtual servers, the Infrastructure Operations Engineer’s responsibilities will cover servers, network, storage, and various other significant infrastructure work.

Being the main point of contact for around 230 users for both network and server infrastructure, the Infrastructure Operations Engineer will be conducting Microsoft365 and Azure administration, assisting with firewall changes and monitoring firewall events, security, and SNMP. With huge variety and exciting responsibilities, this Infrastructure Operations Engineer role is not to be missed!

What’s Required?

 For this Infrastructure Operations Engineer role, we are ideally looking for:

• Proven experience supporting LAN & WAN networks, plus with SNMP monitoring
• Routing and L2/L3 switching experience
• Solid experience with Windows Sever and Virtual server administration, ideally including Microsoft365 and Azure
• Strong experience with networking, as well as wireless networking and networking equipment
• Any experience with VoIP technology, VPNs, next-gen firewalls and/or security best practices would be advantageous
