We are currently seeking a top performing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Automation Engineer to join our rapidly growing Cloud Centre of Excellence and work on the transformation of our Infrastructure and its delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

– Deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation tooling (mainly Concourse CI and Terraform) across Sky’s AWS, Azure and GCP portfolio

– Deliver automation and orchestration of business and technology workflows across Sky’s cloud estate using IaC and Automation tooling

– Contribute to creation of the Cloud Engineering roadmap, specifically for the application of Artificial Intelligence and Automation to Infrastructure management

– Evaluate new and emerging technologies, services and tools for innovative new capabilities

– Provide and deliver Proof of Concept (PoC) activities for Infrastructure automation tools and approaches, building these out to full Production services as required

– Build relationships & collaborate across Sky to establish and implement consistent approaches and application of automation technologies to cloud based Infrastructure

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

– Extensive experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Concourse CI in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments

– Significant experience in the design and automated delivery of highly available and resilient technology Infrastructure for bare metal, virtualized, containerized and Cloud Native solutions

– Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language used for Infrastructure automation (e.g., JSON, Python, etc.…)

– Robust understanding of DevOps and SRE approaches and methodologies and using DevOps tooling (e.g., Git, Jira etc.) to create software artefacts and IaC solutions

– Intellectual curiosity and an inquiring mind – you will seek out new approaches, ideas and opportunities and be able to demonstrate a track record of doing so to bring about positive change

– Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills
