As a Security Specialist, you have a unique opportunity to make a difference, and to apply your security experience as a trusted partner to our key customers.  This great customer experience helps provide the clarity our customers need in understanding their security risks to their data and assets, whilst contributing to the protection of BT brand, reputation and margins across managed contracts and other commercial arrangements.

You'll have the following responsibilities

As a Cyber Security IA Specialist, you will draw upon your expertise, being responsible for Government issued accreditations and certifications, which are defined through contracted obligations and/or defined security policies. Your role will be to effectively manage security governance, deliverables and in life assurance:

Be a lead risk manager for security accreditation activities.

Maintain and manage ISO 27001 security deliverables.

Provisioning necessary support to programmes, propositions and contract teams, ensuring they maintain and manage contracted security obligations (technical, physical and personnel).

Management of security policies and processes to support the Security Policy Framework.

Maintain relevant security relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Obtain and maintain SC level security clearance.

Recognised Industry Security Qualifications e.g. CISSP and ISO27001 Implementation and audit.

Membership of accredited professional body e.g. Full Member of CIISec.

Knowledge of Regulation and Industry Standards – e.g. GDPR, ISO27001.

Strong security skills in Governance Risk and Compliance.

Good general technical understanding.

Detailed understanding of security assurance processes.

Good stakeholder management skills, possible people management experience, cross-team (matrix) basis.

Core competencies - Self-managing, well organised, calm under pressure, excellent oral and written communication, able to translate security risk into business language.

Experience with UK Government Security Frameworks, Governance, Risk and Compliance models with a focus on ISO/IEC 27001.

Industry experience in either Government Contract Security Management or accreditations.

Can demonstrate a good level of experience and knowledge in security risk, audit or security assessment methodologies.

Experience of working across a wide range of internal and external stake holders to deliver business outcomes. 

Strong critical reasoning skills for getting to heart of topics and identifying key themes and actions.

Coaching – working across multiple project teams as a security consultant (preferred).
