About the Position:

As a future Industry Sales Representative in the Global Construction and Infrastructure team, you will begin your development in a tailored development program. You will learn the fundamentals to succeed in your career at Caterpillar from senior leaders, subject matter experts and will be provided with business skills development training.

Following the training class, you will enter rotational assignments tailored to your future career path that is aligned to your strengths and interests.

These assignments will be focused on:

Developing industry and product application knowledge as well as a strong understanding of the Caterpillar Dealer network

Building on your skill sets within a specific industry and to help prepare you for future positions within the organization

Prepare you for field-based sales positions

Once completing the training class and rotations (approx. 18-24 months) you will take an exciting career path to a field-based role.

You will be a dealer facing representative where you will collaborate with dealers on new machine sales opportunities by connecting data to develop sales solutions and support dealers to meet customer needs. You will also be involved with the development and implementation of sales strategies to grow market share and increase awareness.

Candidates will be considered for positions located throughout Australia at the end of the development program and have the expectation to rotate throughout the country and internationally (when Covid-19 restrictions allows) to gain additional experience.

Required Skill and Experience:

Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Enthusiasm for sales and understanding of customer loyalty

A Bachelor's degree in an accredited Marketing, Mechanical or Engineering field

Previous work experience in sales, product support, or market development

Be able to potentially relocate temporally during the development program

Must be willing to travel extensively (50-70%) as well as relocate based upon business needs following completion of the training program

Desired Qualifications:

Previous technical internship or entry-level marketing experience

Experience in construction and infrastructure related fields / automotive would be an advantage

Demonstrated technical and non-technical aptitudes

A true passion to learn about Construction Equipment
