Industry Sales Lead- Built environment

To help our customers achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources who bring diverse perspectives to our customers, building alliances with a variety of stakeholders to support their digital transformation journey. The Industry Sales Lead plays a crucial role in building long lasting relationships with our customers along with a team of Client Executives and Client Technology Leads who own customer relationships with the Chief Executives, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Information Officers, Department Directors, and key business decision makers.  

 

We are currently looking for an Industry Sales lead to support our high performing and most strategic built environment accounts. This role is part of the Professional Services, Media and Telco leadership team in our UK Enterprise business. Embracing a growth mindset, the successful candidate will orchestrate and support their team in accounts which include global engineering, construction and facilities management customers. Across this sector we have towards digital transformation and sustainability. 

   

This role is ideal for a strong purpose led and client facing manager to continue our pivot to Industry and deliver technology solutions which enable business optimisation, create new digital revenue streams and address the all up ESG aims of this rapidly changing industry sector.  

 

The successful candidate demonstrates a passion for the built industry and sustainability. Thrives on building great purpose led cultures and is able to inspire and nurture teams to achieve more.  

Responsibilities

Your responsibilties include:

  • Manage with empathy  
  • Attract, retain and develop talent to enable the team and business to grow 
  • Support, inspire and engage the v-team 
  • Take our customers on a journey of modernisation, innovation and market making 
  • Take ownership for the customer experience and executive engagements 
  • Meet or exceed revenue aims set by the business 
  • Increase Microsoft’s credibility and depth of engagement in the sector 
  • Engage and successfully drive partners around relevant solutions 
  • Ensure that the customer gets best value from their investments by driving consumption of cloud services 
  • Be culture contributor 
  • Model coach care inclusive behaviours

  • Achievement of commercial goals 
  • Deliver on our key principles of engagement and growth 
  • Maintain an accurate forecast and healthy pipeline of opportunities 
  • Manage stakeholders within and outside Microsoft 
  • Engage with and lead the Microsoft Specialist Sales team and other virtual team members. 
  • Take an active role in any major business development campaigns 
  • Demonstrating the development of senior executive relationships. 
  • Improvement in customer satisfaction measures 
  • Personal contribution to the Prof services media and Telco management team 
  • Value-based engagements 
  • Personal positive impact beyond the immediate team

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Technology-related sales, or account management experience, OR equivalent customer/strategy based business  
  • Expertise within industry or related industry 
  • People management experience
