Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in IT security (e.g., threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems)
• Experience in security or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role

Preferred qualifications:

• Cloud or Security industry certifications
• Experience in sales and implementation with enterprise security solutions such as SIEM/XDR (e.g., threat detection and hunting) and Zero Trust (e.g., identity and access management systems, SAML, Networking)
• Experience with enterprise security solutions such as Cloud Security Posture Management, Cloud Workloads Protection, and Google Cloud Platform products (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Chrome, Workspace, Cloud Identity, IAP, CAA)
• Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

As an Industry Customer Engineer, you will help us grow our cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with customers. You will be a trusted advisor to customers and an advocate for our security solutions, providing support to C-Level, Security Leaders, Google Cloud Security Architects, and Security Analysts, and leading projects forward.

You'll accompany customers in discovering the technology/solution and consult around the best way to secure and ensure compliance. You'll optimize for results when in production, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical and compliance objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Maintain a high-level of technical knowledge on, and work with, all Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer/partner environments; maintain technical competitive intelligence.  
• Support Cloud Security opportunities and relationships by being responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including delivering compelling technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to customers, partners and Google Cloud Platform stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight our solutions value proposition using techniques including whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and RFI response documents.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events, where applicable.
