Job Description
We are looking for ICT Operations Service Specialist to join our team. This role has day-to-day responsibility for helping to drive improved ICT service delivery at TEC. This varied role works “on the business†by identifying and driving productivity improvements through our existing products and services in the organisation. It engages with the organisation to understand its technology needs and helps build a backlog of these needs for future releases.
What will you be doing?
- facilitating future BAU operational planning activities including identifying cost savings, supporting with total cost of ownership as well as technology simplification opportunities and increased adoption of retained technology leading to a frictionless technology solution
- working with the user community to understand their needs, reduce confusion around adoption and deliver productivity improvements through a Greenfield approach
- continuously communicate with the end user community to support change management and support acceptance into service activities focusing on the end user experience
- helping drive formal engagement of enterprise products and services moving the user community away from informal and/or legacy channels
- project and vendor engagement including procurement where needed
- Establish and maintain a network of collaborative relationships within the team, and across and outside the organisation, to help deliver the team work-plan
What will you bring?
- A tertiary qualification and/or industry certifications and/or comparable experience and training
- 5+ years' experience in product ownership and/or business improvement/enhancement with a particular focus on ICT Service Delivery, the Microsoft domain and improving customer experience
- experience working in an agile/scrum project environment
- experience with customer/vendor engagement including product backlog development
- A good broad understanding of ICT services and technology as a whole with a focus on product development and business process improvement
- active listening, ability to ask both technical and non-technical questions, negotiation and consensus-building skills to ensure the balance between productivity and operational control is maintained
- strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to others using plain English
