Job Description
The purpose of the ICT Business Partner role is to establish a partnership between the branch and Business Technology & Information Services (BT&IS) and maintain an interface for the purpose of branch's digital strategy development, opportunity qualification and to enable solution discovery.
ICT Business Partners provide advice and guidance to key business stakeholders and work with them to understand the portfolio priorities and how they relate to the overall strategic direction of MPI. They closely collaborate with key stakeholders in the branches as well as our Architecture team to align change activities with Business and Digital Strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the business relationship link between business unit and BT&IS at the senior level
- Develop and maintain positive and co-operative relationships with key stakeholders built on a shared language and understanding
- Develop a strong understanding of the branch that includes drivers, strategies, and needs, their business models, trends, and their key strategic partnerships and relations
- Provide strategic thought leadership with regards to the role ICT plays in executing the business strategy and solving complex business problems
- Facilitate strategic conversations and multi-year planning with key stakeholders and Architecture to ensure strategies are informed by both current and future state roadmaps
- Work with stakeholders to provide guidance on the business technology investment required
- Work closely with Architecture and Programme Management

You will bring your solid knowledge of business engagement in IT along with:
- Strong business acumen and a track record of successfully engaging with senior level management, business owners and executives
- Demonstrated capability to deliver high quality strategic business and technology planning artefacts that seamlessly integrate business demand and IT supply.
- A proven track record in managing the delivery of business solutions in a service orientated organisation and a demonstrable commitment to excellent customer service
- Business Requirement Analysis and facilitation skills
- Ability to quickly acquire a deep understanding of the nuances of the business, to time engagement right, influence thinking and communicate complex and technical concepts to different audiences.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- A flexible approach and responsiveness to new ideas and activities, demonstrated by ability to apply abstract concepts in innovative ways to solve business and technology problems
- Expertise in bringing people with opposing views together, and steering conversations towards pragmatic solutions and a win: win outcome, applied at the most senior levels of the organisation
- Experience with guiding team(s) responsible in strategic planning, business development or client management and working with a broad range of diverse and complex business units.
