THE ROLE:

With the exponential growth in Cloud Gaming, Video Analytics, Remote Video-Game Production, and the expected wave of innovation in Metaverse, the visual cloud is one of the next major innovations that will transform how we experience and interact.

AMD is rapidly growing our Hyperscale/Cloud Gaming Server System Architecture solutions, with AMD groundbreaking next-generation CPUs and GPUs.

 

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a candidate passionate about next generation gaming technologies and gaming experiences. You have a passion and vision for high-performance technology solutions across CPU, GPU, AI, and hardware accelerators. Your vision has defined multi-year product developments and partnerships across technology domains, spanning from semi-conductor hardware developers up to cloud service providers. You have led the architecture and deployment of leading industry solutions built on sophisticated HW/SW infrastructure and appreciate the challenges of bringing product solutions from concept to launch.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for semi-custom Hyperscale/Cloud Gaming, VDI, VDAAS Server System solutions.
  • Providing semi-custom solutions using AMD’s leadership CPU, GPU, chiplet, die-to-die Interconnect, CXL and packaging technology.
  • Guides and collaborates with customers on system platform requirements e.g. Number of tenants per card, tenant partitioning, security, RAS, PPA per tenant, usage model analysis.
  • Proactively recommend courses of action to maintain cost efficiency, competitiveness, system capabilities, security, scalability, and reliability
  • Apply customer feedback to improve AMD roadmap products, performance and enhance the work you're doing.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have 15 years of professional industry experience with a proven track record of optimally building and delivering sophisticated server products involving multiple engineering subject areas.
  • Technical knowledge of hyperscale/cloud gaming server platform system architectures, Operating models, secure tenant encapsulation, partitioning, security, RAS, PPA per tenant.
  • Guide architecture and engineering teams throughout the product R&D cycle.
  • Have optimally developed customer relationships
  • Experience as a Lead Product Architect for chip and/or server platform applying hardware/software optimization to build leading industry cloud solutions
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in computing technology and a depth in outstanding areas (e.g. Cloud Gaming, Virtualization, SoC design, server design)
  • Have successfully developed deep customer relationships
  • Technical depth with CPU, GPU, G/DDR, HBM, PCIe, CXL, Chiplet architectures.
  • Expertise in cloud gaming and cloud gaming client player development
  • Understanding of low-level hardware acceleration and decoders
  • Able to distill high level business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experienced with on-premises and public cloud infrastructures
  • Experienced with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, CNCF)
  • Experienced working in a scrum team and with scrum methodology
  • Driven to achieve a high level of customer/partner happiness

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS and/or MS degree in Electrical or computer Engineering
