The Christchurch business has continued to expand steadily and is currently looking for a new team member to join the workshop engineering team.About your roleThe Service Technician is involved in a broad range of servicing, repair and refurbishment activities allowing you to further develop your skills and experience across a range of hydraulic/mechanical systems and components. Depending upon your experience and background you could be working in either the workshop or spending time out in the field, fault finding, repairing, and maintaining customers industrial equipment and hydraulic systems. This really is a broad role and a great opportunity to develop your experience on several fronts, whilst working within a friendly and knowledgeable team environment.About youYou will be someone who enjoys variety and working in a collaborative team environment. You’ll have a background in either machining (fitter/turner) or general mechanical engineering experience. Either way you’ll have sound knowledge and hands on experience with industrial hydraulic systems and componentry. To be successful you will need

• Strong mechanical trade OR fitter/turner trade skills
• Relevant trade qualification
• Solid fault-finding skills in a wide variety of applications
• Good knowledge of a wide range of hydraulic product
• Ability to test, diagnose and repair a wide range of hydraulic components and system
• Good communication – both written and verbal
• Good interpersonal skills
