This role will allow you to lead the end-to-end delivery of key strategic programmes and projects providing clear direction and supervision to those you need to deliver through. Lead and handle the engagement of senior project stakeholders, providing regular clear and concise reporting of status, risk, and progress.

*This role can be based in any of our UK based offices*

What you’ll do:

  • Take overall ownership of a Programme and manage the key strategic projects within that area, as well as working with Exec Sponsors and Business / Product Owners to identify budget and resources required to deliver activity (liaising with the Group People PMO where necessary) & track project budget through delivery and closure stages.
  • Developing, implementing, and updating resource allocation plans (other than finance) and agreeing budgets for programmes and controlling forecast and actual costs against them, and where appropriate, work with 3rd party suppliers to create and agree statements-of-work (SoW), and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Work collaboratively across the function to ensure that the solutions being designed are fit for purpose and can be maintained, by stepping into projects and understanding implications and potential challenges, as well as escalating to appropriate stakeholders and sponsors where decisions may need to be made.
  • Prepare progress reports and recommendations to be presented to Director of CoE/People Leadership Team including progress against plan, budget, resource, and anything else impacting delivery as well as the regular programme or project governance meetings.
  • Provide project and/or change management expertise in end-to-end delivery of large scale people projects/programmes into the business as required.
  • Coach and develop junior team members, and have a political awareness where you can be flexible in personal style, building and maintaining strong relationships with Directors and Senior leaders across the business with the ability to influence and create impact with their actions.

What you’ll bring:

  • A blend of technical expertise and great interpersonal skills – to land on the right solution for Sky and energise teams to pull together and deliver.
  • Broad experience of working with, and partnering with, Executive level stakeholders on large scale Projects & Programmes, as well as significant experience of leading multiple projects at one time and being able to balance the workload/needs of stakeholder.
  • Ability to influence senior/executive level stakeholders on decision making to ensure that any decisions they make regarding the project are well informed and potential implications are understood.
  • Experience in leading, delivering and managing large scale business change projects involving multiple stakeholders, alongside strong Project and Programme management skillset with an understanding of best practice project management skills. A relevant project management accreditation would be beneficial, however is not essential.
  • Strong and demonstrable evidence of being self-sufficient, as well as being a natural communicator and collaborator used to working with a diverse group of stakeholders.
