Responsibilities will include:
Accountable for workforce availability, legal compliance, quality, performance, and cost.
Responsible for leadership coaching and top-team effectiveness.
Accountable for implementation of HR programmes within the sector and adherence to Group policies and process.
Accountable for HR solutions design and implementation in and for the sector.
Managing a team of resourcing and training managers effectively and in collaboration with the wider members of the HR function to ensure an effective overall HR service is delivered.
Driving culture change, change management initiatives, and high-profile ER/IR activities.
Managing the talent pipeline in conjunction with the business leadership.
Identifying the organisational capabilities required to execute the business strategy.
Analysing, driving, and monitoring organisation performance.
Providing effective input into sales and marketing activity from a generalist perspective, including tenders, re bids and presentations to support the growth of the business units.
Ensuring that TUPE transfers, contract mobilisations and change programmes are managed in an effective and compliant manner.
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with trade union officials to avoid IR issues and support the implementation of business initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience required:
Graduate, ideally MCIPD qualified or equivalent
Extensive operational HR experience of which some has been gained as a strategic HR business partner working as part of a senior team.
You will have strong generalist HR knowledge/specialisms (e.g., Talent, Reward, ER and Resourcing) and experience with the capability to challenge and interpret policies and procedures and their implementation by management teams.
Excellent knowledge of Employment Law, including extensive experience of Trade Union negotiations and collaboration.
Experience of managing and leading change.
Highly commercial and analytical with the ability to demonstrate commercial acumen when offering advice to key stakeholders and colleagues.
Ability to business partner across different business units and actively manage competing stakeholder priorities.
Highly credible and influential at all levels.
Excellent knowledge of how to inspire performance in multi-site operations.
Experience of working positively with Trade Unions and conducting negotiations for pay and terms and conditions
Experience of working with Private Sector clients and TUPE staff with a clear understanding of terms and conditions
