What you'll do

As Head of Financial Crime Technology, you’ll be defining and delivering our Financial Crime Technology service proposition and portfolio, recommending changes to meet changing regulation, customer experience standards, cost and business needs.

You’ll be leading our Financial Crime Technology change teams by translating strategy into operational management activities to deliver the strategy, while building and leveraging stakeholder relationships to make sure there is effective input and support for strategic technology plans.

Other key aspects of your role will involve:

• Defining and delivering the change strategy of the Technology strategy in support of our Financial Crime strategy, customer experience and risk appetite
• Leading the development of the strategy of the Financial Crime Technology architecture, change and customer technologies
• Developing and delivering a regulatory, customer and business driven strategy for technology and digitisation to enable Financial Crime to meet its ambitions and goals across all outcomes
• Collaborating across businesses to ensure the Technology change, strategy and plans enhance risk outcomes and the customer and employee experience

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for an experienced leader who can demonstrate their experience of complex technologies and solutions that would be relevant to a technology leadership role focussed on customer due diligence, screening, transaction monitoring and filtering. You’ll be a skilled communicator who’s able to influence a wide range of audiences at all levels, and you’ll have experience of leading large and diverse professional, operational and multi-site teams.

It’s essential that you have appropriate professional qualifications for financial crime, or that you’re currently completing these. If you’re not on this yet, we’ll ensure you get signed up as soon as possible.  We are committed to ensuring that everyone in the Financial Crime Hub senior management team has these qualifications.

On top of this, you’ll need:

• Broad technical experience in designing and developing traditional and emerging technologies including digital, cloud, DevOps, Agile, big data and Compute
• Significant experience of managing complex technology infrastructures
• A track record in large-scale digital and technology delivery, including the upgrade or replacement of complex and multiple legacy environments
• An understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative developments related to digital and technology
• Significant experience of managing relationships with senior stakeholders, third parties and clients with evidence of influencing at a strategic level
