In this role, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible in facilities operational support and service delivery as a visionary and thought leader for Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS). You'll execute on a plan to meet those objectives, drive strategic portfolio wide initiatives that result in efficiencies, and align facilities plans for growth. You'll promote the organizational “One REWS” approach, act as a sounding board and collaborate with fellow Regional Managers, and effectively manage individual and team performance (focusing on nurturing future talent and leaders in the organization).

In this role, you'll also provide strategic leadership for the team relative to the development of the vendor partner relationship and set a direction and approach that enables our partners to bring industry leading strategies to Google, while maintaining a strong compliance approach.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Align the Strategic Technical Services organization’s resources towards Google’s highest-level business priorities. Support the team and organization’s continued performance and success through organizational design, long-term planning, and business insight. 
  • Build effective partnerships across the organization, build organizational support and capabilities to act on strategies and recommendations. Build a roadmap that enables the team to evolve processes, tools, and systems to unlock more intelligence and opportunities. 
  • Define the team’s strategy and direction, coach and develop team members, and remove roadblocks. Guide the team towards the highest impact opportunities, optimizing for the performance and effectiveness of the function. 
  • Act as a trusted partner; build strong relationships with business leaders (and their delegates) to enhance the employee experience. Communicate the REWS mission and strategies to executive management through timely, thorough, and tailored communication.
