As the Head of Enterprise Networks within Group Cloud & Infra, you will be accountable for the successful transformation and modernisation the Enterprise Networks, creating a stable, reliable and predictable foundation, that underpins Sky’s Cloud Strategy, Information Systems and Workplace connectivity, in all markets (UK, Italy and Germany) and with a team of 40.
What you’ll do:
• Modernise the area, reducing the significant current Tech Debt, in an ambitious transformation program, creating a modern network, secure, virtualized and Software defined, with the maturity and scale required by a leader in Entertainment and media in Europe.
• Achieve a level of excellence in stability on the network, with the necessary resilience built in, and the proper level of readiness and skillset to respond to incidents
• Harmonize the teams and the Enterprise Networks in all the territories (UK, DE,IT)
• Provide senior stakeholder management and represent EN on strategic programmes and projects.
• Increase Customer orientation, build relationships with the business functions across Sky to align on prioritisation, planning and delivery.
• Own and lead the network transformation programme, executing on time and budget, proactively facilitate the teams working collaboratively (Matrix delivery).
• Manage the EN capex budget, forecasting and challenges
• As a senior member of the Cloud&Infra team, drive wider people and improvement initiatives in support of the C&I strategy.
What you’ll bring:
• Enterprise or Telco Networking expertise: Candidate must have deep skills and extensive experience in Telco grade Networks.
• Transformation expertise and experience: Candidate must had previous experience leading successful Network transformation projects and programmes across multiple business stakeholders, objectives and technology.
• Team Leadership: Extensive experience and track record of managing teams to understand and deliver complex solutions in your own team and across an internal matrix.
• Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with an always on 24/7 mind set, to lead the team in a best in class incident resolution
• Working in a dynamic environment: Enjoys working in an innovative and creative environment and is able to manage ambiguity and influence multiple stackeholders.
• Senior Stakeholder Management: Candidate must have an excellent and proven track record of having established successful business relationships with stakeholders at Head of Level and Director.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. both verbal and written.
• Budget management and accountability in the range of £5-£10m
• Objectives setting: team and personal development.
