The role of Head of Commercial Finance – GTM and Trading in TalkTalk’s Consumer division is a crucial Finance role leading a small team in shaping, assessing and influencing the products and propositions we take to market in our Direct Business Unit.
About the Role
You will play a key role in shaping, assessing and influencing the products and propositions we take to market in our Direct Business Unit.
You will monitor the financial and commercial outcomes of our go to market strategy and trading plans including Customer Lifetime Value, with particular focus on price, promotion, proposition and trading decisions.
You will be focused on the size, shape and mix of our trading plans and all elements of the IBRO model, including the investment requirements of sales acquisition and other variable costs.
Your key strength will be as a valued and trusted advisor to the Trading Leadership and Fibre Taskforce Teams, and in business partnering to those key stakeholders, your role will provide critical decision-making recommendations, and will balance support with probing and constructive challenge.
Main duties & Responsibilities
As the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be a trusted partner of the General Manager for Growth – providing full support in all financial matters and robust independent challenge.
You’ll report to the Finance Director and be a member of the Growth Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role in the support of commercial decisions, where you will utilise the support of 2 direct reports.
You will leverage your commercial experience and knowledge to identify areas of strategic interest and influence business decisions, whilst providing ongoing challenge and guidance to manage commercial direction.
You will play a critical governance role – being a key review point on budgets and forecasts, risks and opportunities initiatives, and monthly finance reports and analysis issued to the business.
