Job Description:

Our customer is an industry leader in Nurse Call and Emergency call solutions for leading retirement village providers, hospitals, and age care facilities. With over 30 years and more than 1000 systems throughout Australia and New Zealand, our customer is an innovative company with a commitment to continual product improvement and new product development. 

Currently, our customer is looking to attract an intermediate Hardware Engineer designer to look after electronics circuit design, all the way from prototyping to mass production, PCB layout, improvement of existing products, and liaison with component distributors and manufacturers.

Reporting to the Head of R&D, the team is small in numbers but punch way above their weight in regards to the quality of work and the commitment to their customers in the health care industry. No two days will be the same in the research and development of new and exciting products that help thousands of ill patients every day.

Job Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Electronics Engineering or related.
• Around 5 years of experience in hardware design - Analogue, Digital & Mixed-Signal.
• Solid experience with Altium (ideally), but other equivalent PCB design software experience will be taken into account.
• Experience in the product development life cycle, from prototyping to mass layout.
• Experience dealing with component distributors.
• Experience dealing with manufacturers for mass production.
• Sense of ownership, strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability.
