You are an experienced senior IT assurance professional and risk advocate who is willing to roll up their sleeves and deliver the right advice at the right time. As a Technology Risk Assurance Manager you will act as a trusted advisor, coach and consultant to the technology group and work with the business to identify, assess and mitigate risks related to Sky’s technology and service offerings, help create a risk aware and informed culture and provide guidance on how to mitigate the exposures identified as well as playing an active part in the delivery of any solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Provide insight and guidance into risk aware decision making and on adopting security by design principles through managing technical assessments end to end and by playing an integral part in the remediation of identified issues
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand barriers to the adoption of, and advocate and encourage the implementation of, secure operating practices and risk governance and build and foster relationships with key individuals and decision makers
• Getting under the skin of exciting and challenging technology-led initiatives and programs to continually assess progress and to ensure that the deliverables meet expectations and are on course to deliver real value to the business
• Formulate conclusions and prepare reports with concise recommendations
• Engage with stakeholders right across the business and proactively work with the relevant teams on designing and implementing solutions to the issues raised

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to deliver end-to-end technology assessments and reviews whilst using a risk lens to determine the right balance between opportunity and detriment
• Real passion, drive and enthusiasm for the digital age and the use of technology as an enabler
• Demonstrable experience within IT audit, IT security and/or DevSecOps or Technology Business Assurance or alternatively extensive frontline experience in at least one of the following areas: security operations centre (SOC) support, technical support, threat analysis, information security or software project delivery or network engineering
• Comprehensive understanding of network and communication hardware, including routers and firewalls, data storage technologies and cloud-based services
• Prior hands-on experience with interpreting regulatory and statutory requirements and associated controls design as well as managing interaction and mutually beneficial discussions with regulators and standard setting bodies
