About The Role
As the Group Financial Accountant some of your responsibilities include:
Preparation and analysis of the Group Consolidation including responsibility for intercompany loans and elimination entries.
Line Manager responsibilities to include management and development of Assistant Accountant.
Acting as key point of contact for the external audit.
Year-end planning, preparation of audit requests & Balance sheet review.
Preparation of the consolidated statutory accounts and subsidiary accounts.
Providing financial insight and decision support to senior stakeholders, analysing and interpreting business performance KPI's.
Support budget holders with the preparation, monitoring and reporting on performance against budget, investigating and commenting on variances.
Take ownership and responsibility for the review and analysis of the Groups administrative expenses, providing insight and commentary on variances to plan to the Director of Finance.
Providing ongoing support and financial training to operational staff to improve their financial knowledge needed to make operational and business decisions.
Review of Balance sheet reconciliations.
Providing ongoing financial support to senior stakeholders with ad hoc analysis to support decision making.
This role will be hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office.
About You
Qualified in accounting (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), you will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills and strong analytical skills.
With previous experience in an accounting role supporting Senior stakeholders, you will have an understanding of statutory accounting and group consolidation.
