Barnardo's Parent factor in ADHD is a programme designed to give information and support to carers after their young person has received a diagnosis of ADHD. We currently deliver the programme virtually but are beginning to explore face to face groups. We are commissioned by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and currently work with Families from Northumberland, Sunderland and South Tyneside.
We are looking for someone to join our team who has a genuine interest in ADHD. We understand that personal experience can often outweigh professional so we are not asking for any previous working experience however experience of delivering this programme or parenting programmes would be an advantage.
Applicants should be committed, enthusiastic, motivated and have excellent communication skills and able to work in a a respectful and inclusive approach.
A flexible approach is essential to providing support when families need it which ,may include , evenings and weekends. The service is delivered primarily via zoom so a competent/confident knowledge of IT is a must.
