The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.
 
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer (Graphic Design Officer) to be a part of our Brand and Creative Services team (within the Brand and Marketing branch) at Transport for NSW. The Brand and Marketing branch includes communications specialists working across Brand & Creative Services, Marketing & Sponsorships as well as Portfolio Management and Engagement team.
If successful, you will deliver graphic design solutions that support communications initiatives across the Transport cluster including creation of campaigns and communications materials that support public transport, safety on roads and waterways, licensing in NSW, and corporate communication.
Please note that this role is a temporary fixed term full time contract till 25th Nov 2022. We work in a hybrid way, a mixture of working from home and in the office based in Elizabeth Street, and offering flexible working arrangements with lots of benefits.
What you will be involved in,
Delivering creative solutions and working collaboratively within a creative team to answer communications and business briefs that support the brand identity.
Producing designs for application across various media, and take designs from concept through to finished art. This will include content suitable for websites, social media, digital billboards, as well as printed communication and campaigns, and corporate collateral.
Supporting brand management through updating brand style guides and templates.
Utilise the NSW Government Visual Identity Framework, as well as the Transport Agency Guidelines and our Public Transport Customer brand identity to deliver creative communications solutions. 
Maintaining effective records of design jobs, including file archiving so that jobs can be retrieved at a later date. Ensure all elements of designed outcomes comply with Copyright permissions.
Developing creative that is accessible - practical experience delivering creative that meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) is advantageous.
About you,
 
You will hold tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in Graphic Design or related discipline across both print and digital platforms.
We need an energetic and highly motivated individual who is results driven and organised, with demonstrated experience in graphic design in an agency or business environment.
Working with multiple stakeholders from across Transport for NSW, you are comfortable working with copywriters, account managers, marketeers, and communications professionals alike. 
Advanced skills in MAC versions of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) in a commercial environment. HTML5 or Animation skills highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits 
 
This is a Transport Service Grade 6 ($94,879-$ 104,367) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
