NCL (Nancekivell Consulting Ltd) is a boutique Auckland based NZ owned and operated engineering consultancy, which serves residential and commercial development clients, local councils and central government agencies. The role:
An opportunity has become available for a Graduate Structural Drafting Technician to join our multi-disciplinary consultancy, and provide the following:
- Drafting support to the Structural engineering team.
- Manage drafting projects from inception to completion ensuring that relevant milestones are reached on time and within budget.
- Making detailed drawings of planned structures using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Structural detailing of Concrete, Timber, Steel and Concrete Masonry.
- Reporting and discussing problems with engineers.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and other staff to ensure design
documentation is issued in accordance with the project programme. - Work concurrently on several design projects.
- Actively seek relevant project opportunities to broaden and develop your drafting skills.
Qualifications & experience
- We are interested in all levels of experience, whether you are new to the industry or have some experience - we would like to hear from you.
- Ideally work experience using AutoCad (or Revit would be added advantage). We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Related Diploma qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NZ Standards would be an advantage.
- Professional and confident interaction with clients and staff.
- Committed to delivering consistently high-quality documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to remain calm under pressure with flexibility to meet changing demands.
