Our small team of Governance Advisors look after the Hurunui District Council's extensive committee structure and meetings that take place throughout the Hurunui district. We are seeking expressions of interest from applicants who would like to work as a Governance Advisor either on a fulltime or part time basis to help the team share the workload.
The key functions of this role include preparing agendas, minute taking and attending to matters resulting from the meetings. Ideally you will be experienced in minute taking and have excellent organisational and computer skills that include the ability to livestream meetings and for attendees to ‘zoom' in - this job is not for the technophobic! You will need to be strongly customer service focused, pay attention to detail and have a good public manner.
Initially you will take care of 2 - 3 committees and provide back-up for others. You must be able to drive, as meetings take place in various locations.
