THE ROLE:

Global Sales & Marketing Finance internship is an opportunity for current college students to learn about key responsibilities in Sales & Marketing Finance at AMD, such as:  financial modeling and forecasting, P&L management, variance analyses, business partnering with cross-functional teams, monthly and quarterly close (Revenue & OPEX), pricing analyses and more. The intern will assist in driving business value by implementing process improvements to key financial reports and will also be involved in key strategic ad hoc projects with exposure to Sales and Finance Executive team. This position is based at our location in Austin, Texas.

THE PERSON:

You are result oriented, self-starter and eager to learn about Sales & Marketing Finance and AMD business. You love to solve problems and to find creative solutions to challenging business problems. You adapt quickly to changes and business needs. You are collaborative and you work well with others.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, business partnering and general understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with others and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Result oriented, self-starter and eager to learn
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.)
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to work legally in the United States via citizen, legal residency or an appropriate visa/permit

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s Business degree with concentration in Finance, Marketing, MIS, Accounting or other related business fields.
