Job Description

High Close School is a flourishing residential and day special school catering for up to 94 young people with a complex range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. We are seeking a talented and inspirational teacher with high expectations of learning and behaviour and a belief in the capacity of every child to achieve. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-motivated teacher who is: 

  • An excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Creative in the ways they work with young people and other teachers.
  • Calm and patient even in difficult situations.
  • Able to build positive relationships at all levels, wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people.

You can have a sound knowledge and background in either Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3 and be confident in finding creative ways to deliver the curriculum. This is a real opportunity to support and inspire young people to achieve. The role will also offer opportunity for contribution to a varied and vibrant enrichment programme.

Salary MPS + SEN allowance
