About this role

Digico is a key initiative to provide attractive and competitive products with an excellent customer experience through the development of new IT support systems and innovative features and pricing through Agile development methods.  

As a Functional Lead you will work closely with Proposition and Capability Owners to ensure product strategies and roadmaps have the necessary detailed information so that the Delivery Squads can deliver against these.

You will be accountable for working with the Functional Analysts and Product Owners in the Delivery Squads to ensure Business Analysis is done, whilst adopting agile methods and good practice. You will also provide assurance and ensure consistency of output from the Functional Analysts and will guide the Product Owners in the Delivery Squads on detailing requirements. 

You will be responsible for leading and orchestrating the continuous elaboration of features, working across the Proposition Owners, Capability Owners and Architecture, Security, CX/UX and Process Designers and Agile Delivery Lead(s) (RTE) to create an elaborated and prioritised backlog of features that the Delivery Squads can commit to the delivery of. 

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Work closely with the Proposition Owners and Capability Owners and Capability owners to understand the multi-Proposition needs and common capability needs in developing and rationalising Features for delivery. 

• Lead and guide Functional Analysts, review Functional Designs with the Architects and Engineering teams to ensure the business requirements are understood.

• Work with the Functional Analysts and Delivery Squad Product Owners to translate business requirements into User Stories.

• Review User Stories to ensure they are fully elaborated with descriptions, business acceptance criteria, and are estimated.

• Ensure that Features meet the Definition of Ready and are elaborated on a continual basis in time for a Programme Increment.

• Lead the elaboration bringing together Proposition Owners, Capability Owners, Architecture, Service Designers, CX/UX Designers, etc. to elaborate a set of prioritised Features as part of the continuous elaboration for commitment by Delivery Squads in planning events.

• Continuously refine the feature backlog based on stakeholder engagement and the capability strategy/roadmap, including changes to target outcomes.

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Stakeholder management: proactively and continuously engage with stakeholders on an informal, as well as formal basis.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and able to spot original, breakthrough ideas.

• Driven by curiosity, with an inquisitive nature to learn, test, and experiment with new ideas, methods and ways of working.

• Functional analysis skills to enable the capture and breakdown of well-formed requirements and priorities.

• Critical thinking skills to enable the articulation of requirements, trade-offs and priorities.

• Stakeholder management: ability to manage and influence stakeholders with competing priorities.

• Proven track record in Business Analysis within a complex change environment.

• Strong relationship building, across both business and technical stakeholders.

• Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

• Ability to work within an agile environment and multi-skilled teams to create world class products and capabilities that serve our customer’s needs.

• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills.

• Time management, prioritisation for value first.

• Problem solving and creative thinking aptitude. 

• Experience and understanding of Lead to Cash (L2C) processes.

• Extensive experience and knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices.

• Significant experience as a Product Owner in agile delivery projects / programmes.

• Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira/ Confluence.
